What better time to resurface than a lovely spring holiday weekend celebrating both Passover and Easter. Two holidays bringing together family, slowing down the hectic pace of life, reminding you of what’s most important, and of course, concluded by a giant feast and if you’re lucky, hopefully stomachache- free.
And with that, what better time then to also do some spring cleaning, letting go of clutter in your home, as well as your life. I, like many people, am reluctant to throw things out, with the hopes, or fears, that some day I might need that precious item I have buried deep beneath the top layer of clothes in each drawer.
Well, let me tell you – that rule of thumb that if you haven’t worn it in the past year, it’s likely you will never wear it again is…true! The photos I’ve included supports my enthusiasm of this endeavor, and I’ll say this, drawers that can close feels.so.good.
Now, once you’ve rid your drawers of your fashion fall-outs, and decided what to give friends and family, DONATE! Bag up your items that are no longer of use to you, and give them to someone who’d be through the moon to gain your treasures, and to top it off, you get a tax write-off – WHAT! They even have those nifty drive-thru donation sites which make it a no-brainer.
While you’re spring cleaning, why not make a party of it and clean up other areas of your life too by taking a good look at your relationships, friendships, work, and person you are and want to be. It’s never too late to make a change, or even relish in and appreciate what just might already be an amazing life. Let go, de-clutter, and take a breath.
Happy cleaning, and happy holidays everyone!
